In a stunning online incident that occurred this past week, Rep. Dave Min, a woke United States Congressman from California, took aim at President Donald Trump’s new White House Press Secretary, Karoline Leavitt, and accused her of being fake Christian because of how she framed an issue.
The issue at hand, over which Rep. Min went on the warpath against Ms. Leavitt, was a change made by the Trump Administration to the funding of various organizations that once received federal money but now does not, as the Trump Administration is trying to pull the plug on such wasteful, often anti-American expenditures.
However, though Trump tried to end their funding when he first issued the Office of Management and Budget (OMB) ruling that effectively froze most federal grants and programs, it was struck down by a federal judge who blocked it within just days. So, the Trump Administration rescinded the order to try again with a new one.
Leavitt, in her post about the situation, noted that while the OMB funding memo had to be rescinded, President Trump’s other orders remained in place. Amongst those that remained effective was his order halting Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) programs at the federal government level.
In her initial post, the one that sparked Min’s anger, Leavitt said, ” This is NOT a rescission of the federal funding freeze. It is simply a rescission of the OMB memo. Why? To end any confusion created by the court’s injunction. The President’s EO’s on federal funding remain in full force and effect and will be rigorously implemented.”
Rep. Min responded with anger, accusing her of being a fake Christian for supposedly “bearing false witness” in her post about the memos. He said, in his venemous tweet, “‘Thou shalt not bear false witness…’ Karoline Leavitt is a Fake Christian, like so many in this Golden Calf administration.”
This isnt’ the first time he has attacked her for her faith. For example, when she posted, “DOGE and OMB also found that there was about to be 50 million taxpayer dollars that went out the door to fund condoms in Gaza. That is a preposterous waste of taxpayer dollars,” Rep. Min responded with an angry attack, saying, “.. she said while wearing a giant cross to let everyone know how pious and moral she is, even as she is so comfortable stating a bald faced lie to hundreds of millions of people.”
